Student Life Cedar Falls High School

REMINDERS: All students signed up for a Hawkeye Community College Concurrent class for the 2023-24 school year will need to register for that class on Tuesday, April 11th. If you are unsure of which class is an HCC Concurrent class, you can look on your Power School portal under the School Registration tab on the left side. If the class has an HCC in front of it, it is a concurrent class. It is required for all high school students to complete registration through Hawkeye to get college credit for the class. During registration, important information will also be shared about taking a college credit course in high school. We will have Hawkeye admission representatives at CFHS all day on Tuesday, April 11th for students to complete their registration. Students will receive a pass 2nd through 7th hour on Tuesday to come to the library during the period designated on their pass. Students will need to know their Social Security Number to register.Announcements: Monday, April 10, 2023 A Day

Prom will take place on Saturday, May 13. Tickets are now available to purchase! Please sign up for tickets through the link on Schoology, and then pay and pick up tickets in the main office. Cost is $15.00 per ticket. Reminder that all detentions must be served and Power School fees must be paid in order to purchase a ticket.

What to do after prom? Want to see a hypnotist? Eat breakfast? Play games with friends? Win prizes? Then purchase post prom tickets for $10 on Monday, April 24th before school from 9:00 to 9:30 am, during Power Hour or after school until 3:30 pm in the auditorium lobby. Or Tuesday, April 25th through Friday, April 28th before school from 7:40-8:00 am, during Power Hour or after school until 3:30 pm. All tickets need to be purchased in advance. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

A reminder if you plan to bring a guest to prom who is NOT a student at CFHS, you must fill out a guest form, which can be picked up from Mrs. Skarlis in the main office. These forms must also be signed by the principal of the guest's high school, if that applies. This takes some planning, so do not procrastinate on getting this form filled out and turned in by Wednesday, May 10 by 3:30 pm.
