JUNIORS and SOPHOMORES: Registration for the Hawkeye Community College Summer College Credit Program opened today at 9:00 am. Students will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect demand to be very high for all courses, so interested students should get registered ASAP. You will need to know your social security number. Links and courses offered are on the Class of 2024 and Class of 2025 Schoology pages.

All students signed up for a Hawkeye Community College Concurrent class for the 2023-24 school year will need to register for that class on Tuesday, April 11th. If you are unsure of which class is an HCC Concurrent class, you can look on your Power School portal under the School Registration tab on the left side. If the class has an HCC in front of it, it is a concurrent class. It is required for all high school students to complete registration through Hawkeye to get college credit for the class. During registration, important information will also be shared about taking a college credit course in high school. We will have Hawkeye admission representatives at CFHS all day on Tuesday, April 11th for students to complete their registration. Students will receive a pass 2nd through 7th hour on Tuesday to come to the library during the period designated on their pass. Students will need to know their social security number to register.

Good luck to CFHS Jazz One today as they perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships in Ames. They play at 3:45 pm in CY-Stephens Auditorium.

Do you want to vote in the next election? On Wednesday, April 5th the League of Women Voters will be here to register students who are, or will be, 17 1/2 by May 1st of this year. Volunteers will be in the auditorium entrance during Power Hour. Be sure to bring your driver's license.

If you plan to bring a guest to prom who is NOT a student at CFHS, you must fill out a guest form, which can be picked up from Mrs. Skarlis in the main office. These forms must also be signed by the principal of the guest's high school, if that applies. This takes some planning, so do not procrastinate on getting this form filled out and turned in by Wednesday, May 10 by 3:30 pm.

A representative from Iowa Central Community College will be here on Tuesday, April 11th at 9:45 am. Interested students may sign up through Schoology or in the Counseling office.

Our Tiger Pride commitment for today is focusing on the letter "I" - Initiate a face to face conversation.
