Mrs. Hendrickson wants to thank all the readers this week who have been participating in the Read Across America Challenge! Because of the growing interest and participation, the book challenge and opportunities for prizes will continue through Wednesday of next week! So if you haven't picked up a bookmark in the library yet, now is your chance! Also, be checking Schoology for photos of students caught reading and even more ways to win some bookishly awesome prizes!
Scholarship Update! If you haven't yet, please consider applying for the scholarships offered by the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation (due March 15th) and the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (due March 6th). Links to the scholarships have been posted in the Class of 2023 Schoology page.
Just a reminder if you need a prom dress, the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls is hosting its 12th annual Prom's Closet today from 4:00-8:00 PM, and Saturday, March 4th from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Crossroads Mall. Dresses are $20.00, shoes $3.00 & accessories $1.00. All are welcome!
A reminder for any 9th - 12th grader interested in being part of the Fishing Club, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, March 6th at 7:30 PM in the High School auditorium.
A reminder to come out tonight or Saturday night at 7:30 pm to support the CFHS Drama's spring play in the high school auditorium! Tickets are $5.00 and activity passes will be accepted. It's guaranteed to make you laugh!
Our Tiger Pride commitment for today is focusing on the letter "R" - Respect the building by cleaning up a mess when you see it, whether it is yours or not.
REMINDERS: UNI is hosting a "Be A leader Day" Tuesday March 21st, at the UNI Campus. This counts as a college visit and includes a UNI overview, campus tour, free lunch in Rialto Dining Center, ROTC information, and National Guard information. Please contact Mrs. Langan in the counseling office if you are interested in attending.
If you want to attend prom or walk the stage at graduation commencement, all detentions must be served and fines/fees paid by Friday, May 5. Sophomores may attend prom only as a guest of a junior or senior but must also have all detentions served and fines paid to be eligible for ticket purchase.
