Cheer Tryouts for Football, Basketball, Wrestling and Competition Cheer will begin Saturday, Feb. 25th from 10am-12pm at Cedar Heights Elementary School. Enter the side gym door from parking lot. Complete registration through the link on Schoology. Additional practice dates will be Monday, Feb. 27th and Wednesday, March 1st from 4:00-6:00pm at CFHS. If you have questions, please email cheerleading@cfschools.org. Tryouts are open to incoming grades 10-12th, female or male. Competition tryouts are open to incoming 9th-12th, female or male.Listen up Junior Leadership! We will meet TODAY during the 1st shift of Power Hour in room 144 to finalize decisions for Prom. If you are unable to attend, please check our planning document and reach out to Mrs. Llerena or Mrs. Moser.

Juniors and Sophomores: the school counselors will begin individual meetings today with students to confirm their course requests for next year. This is a VERY important part of the scheduling process so PLEASE be prepared. The appointments will be a lot quicker if you have your courses entered and have any questions ready to go. Come at the time the pass indicates. If you are not able to come at that time, you will be rescheduled. Because the counseling office will be very busy, students will not be allowed to come to the counseling office UNLESS it is an emergency.

Attention Spring Only AP Students: The deadline for submitting your AP exam order is March 8th. Please make sure you are logging into MyAP and changing your exam decision from undecided to yes or no. If you have questions or need help with this, please see Ms. Bettle in Room 214.

Acceleration request forms are due on March 1st, no exceptions. Please see Ms. Bettle in Room 214 during the second shift of Power Hour with any questions.

A representative from La James will be here Wednesday, March 1st at 9:45 am. Interested students may sign up through Schoology or in Counseling.

A representative from Simpson College will be here on Tuesday, Feb. 28th at 1:15 pm. Interested Students can sign up through Schoology or in Counseling.

Juniors and Sophomores, on Monday, March 6th, Cedar Falls High School will be hosting an ICAN event all about understanding Financial Aid. This event will be at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. Parents and students are welcome to attend if they have any questions or are wanting to gain more knowledge about financial aid. Financial Aid is an important part of the college-going process, so this event is important to attend.

Juniors and Sophomores, another event that is coming up for students and parents are the ICR Future Career and College Fair. This event will be hosted on Sunday, March 26 from 12:30 - 3:00 pm. It will be held at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids. This event will help students explore career pathways and get the chance to talk with area businesses about growing career opportunities in Eastern Iowa. See the link in Schoology to register.

REMINDERS: If you want to attend prom or walk the stage at graduation commencement, all detentions must be served and fines/fees paid by Friday, May 5. Sophomores may attend prom only as a guest of a junior or senior but must also have all detentions served and fines paid to be eligible for ticket purchase.

Attention students: Read Across America is happening in two weeks! You can sign up on Schoology to visit elementary schools to read to the students. We need lots of volunteers, so encourage your friends to sign up with you!
