Sophomores and Juniors: If you had your picture taken during registration days in August, those are available to pick up in the library at your convenience. Picture re-takes will be on Monday, September 12.
Battle of the Books is BAAAACK for the 22-23 school year! Would you like to be part of a competitive team of voracious readers? Check Schoology to learn more about Battle of the Books and the state wide competition that takes place in April. Interested students should come to the B.O.B. kickoff meeting in the library on Friday, September 9 during shift 2 of Power Hour.
A representative from the following colleges will be here on Wednesday, Sept 14th: Iowa Wesleyan at 2:15 pm and Coe College at 9:45 am. Interested students can sign up through Schoology.
Coming up on September 13th, UNI is hosting a college fair at the McLeod Center for juniors and seniors. The college fair is an opportunity for students to get the chance to talk with representatives from over 70 different institutions. It is from 9 am to 10 a.m or 10 am to 11 am. Students will be bussed over to UNI. The link to register will be on Schoology. The deadline to sign up is Friday, September 9th. Sign UP now! Hope to see you there!
Seniors-The school counselors will start Senior Meetings today. Please attend when you receive your pass. We are looking forward to visiting with you and checking your transcript and talking about senior year important information!!
Class of 2023 Seniors: On Monday, September 12th at 5:30 pm in the CFHS auditorium, you and your parents/guardians are invited to a senior meeting where we will talk about what is going on during your senior year. There will be information about job shadows, post secondary opportunities, ACT/SAT, FAFSA information, and much more to prepare you and your parents for the future. We strongly recommend seniors attend with their parents/guardians. We will also have special representatives from UNI, Hawkeye, CFU, Wartburg, National Guard. Please join us!! The Fall CF Ambush Esports season is coming up on September 19th. We will be looking to compete in up to 8 different games during the Fall Season. Fill out the Fall interest form on the CF Ambush extra-curricular website or link within Schoology if you are interested. There will be an information/parent meeting on September 7th at the HS Auditorium for more information.
The Cultural Diversity Club will be meeting this Thursday, September 8th, during all of Power Hour in the counseling office. We'll be talking about our plans for this year and we'll play some fun cultural games! All are welcome regardless of cultural background or ethnicity. Hope to see you there!
There will be Powder Puff meeting in the auditorium this Friday. Juniors will meet during 1st shift and Seniors will meet during 2nd shift. If you are interested in playing or coaching please plan on attending. The Powder Puff game will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 7:00 pm
Are you passionate about helping others? Wanting to get involved with our CFHS community? Please join the Volunteer Club in the Library for our first meeting of the year! We will meet during the second shift of Power Hour this Friday, September 9th.
