Students wanting to attend Homecoming must take care of all detentions and fines by Wednesday, September 21 in order to purchase a ticket. If you aren't sure of your detention total, please check with Mrs. Skarlis in the main office.
The CF Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet during the 1st shift of Power Hour today in the gym. All students are welcome to attend.
Class of 2023 Senior: On Monday, September 12th at 5:30 pm in the CFHS auditorium, you and your parents/guardians are invited to a senior meeting where we will talk about what is going on during your senior year. There will be information about job shadows, post secondary opportunities, ACT/SAT, FAFSA information, and much more to prepare you and your parents for the future. We strongly recommend seniors attend with their parents/guardians. We will also have special representatives from UNI, Hawkeye, CFU, Wartburg, National Guard. Please join us!! The Fall CF Ambush Esports season is coming up on September 19th. We will be looking to compete in up to 8 different games during the Fall Season. Fill out the Fall interest form on the CF Ambush extra-curricular website or link within Schoology if you are interested. There will be an information/parent meeting on September 7th at the HS Auditorium for more information.
The Cultural Diversity Club will be meeting this Thursday, September 8th, during all of Power Hour in the counseling office. We'll be talking about our plans for this year and we'll play some fun cultural games! All are welcome regardless of cultural background or ethnicity. Hope to see you there!
Would you like to be part of a community that connects through great books and great discussion? Join the CFHS student-run book club! Our first book club meeting is this Wednesday, September 7 during Power Hour Shift 2. We will meet to pick up our first book of the year, The House in the Cerulean Sea. Have questions? The Art Club will have its first meeting of the school year on TODAY during the 2nd shift of Power Hour in Art room #34. We'll be planning activities for this coming school year. Remember - Anyone interested in making Art can join.
Follow the Tigers: Boys' Varsity Golf meet will begin at 1:15 pm at Pheasant Ridge; Sophomore and JV volleyball will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:00pm at Cedar Rapids Xavier; Girls' Varsity and JV Swimming and Diving will begin at 6:00 pm at Linn-Mar.

REMINDERS: Coming up on September 13th, juniors and seniors are invited to attend a College Fair at the McLeod Center. The college fair is an opportunity for students to get the chance to talk with representative from over 70 different colleges and military branches. It is from 9 am to 10 am or 10 am to 11 am. Students will choose which time frame they will attend and be bussed to UNI. The link to register will be on Schoology. The deadline to sign up is September 9th. Hope to see you there!
