If you are interested in joining the ROCKET CLUB we will be hosting a second information meeting tomorrow during 1st shift of Power Hour in Rm. 31. No experience necessary! Please contact Mr. Nicholson if you cannot attend but would like more information.If you are interested in joining the All Male Dance Team this year, please come to an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 6th at 7 pm. Meet in the Foods room (Room 117) at the High School. Open to 10th through 12th grade students.
Coming up on September 13th, juniors and seniors are invited to attend a College Fair at the McLeod Center. The college fair is an opportunity for students to get the chance to talk with representative from over 70 different colleges and military branches. It is from 9 am to 10 am or 10 am to 11 am. Students will choose which time frame they will attend and be bussed to UNI. The link to register will be on Schoology. The deadline to sign up is September 9th. Hope to see you there!
Attention Sophomores! If you are interested in Sophomore Leadership, there will be a welcome meeting on Thursday during 1st shift power hour in room 227. You will be excused from your power hour if you attend. If you cannot attend, but want to participate, please email Ms. Weaver or Mrs. Willmert!
We're looking forward to hosting the following college admission representatives at CFHS on the following dates: Tuesday, September 13th: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach Wednesday, September 14th: Iowa Wesleyan University Tuesday, September 27th: Simpson College Wednesday, September 28th: Northwest Iowa Community College Thursday, September 29th: Drake University Tuesday, October 18th: Upper Iowa University. If you'd like to meet with one of these admission representatives, please complete the sign up form in the materials form on Schoology.
The Cedar Falls High School Black Student Union is looking for students interested in being part of this year’s leadership team. Interested students must be goal oriented, have strong organizational skills, and be willing to work hard for your fellow students. The goal of the CFHS BSU is to provide students with an opportunity to engage in activities and discussions designed to help foster a better understanding of experiences and issues that impact African-American students. This club is open to all students regardless of racial and/or cultural differences. There will be an informational meeting for students interested in being part of BSU leadership this Friday in room 146 during shift 1 of Power Hour.
Homecoming is Saturday, September 24. Students wanting to attend Homecoming must take care of all detentions and fines by Wednesday, September 21 in order to purchase a ticket. If you aren't sure of your detention total, please check with Mrs. Skarlis in the main office. If you wish to bring a guest to the Homecoming dance who is NOT a student at CFHS, you must fill out a guest form. These can be picked up from Mrs. Skarlis in the main office. The deadline to turn in the form is Wednesday, September 21 by 3:30 pm. More information will be coming soon on when tickets will be available to purchase.
