Our Black History quote today is from Martin Luther King Jr: “Today we know with certainty that segregation is dead. The only question remaining is how costly will the funeral be?"

The deadline to sign up for the April 2nd ACT is this Friday February 25th. Even though the ACT is test-optional, your results could help you get scholarships from certain colleges. Two of our Americorps volunteers will be in the counseling office both shifts of power hour on Thursday, February 24th. These volunteers can help you start filling out your ACT for the April 2nd ACT. Please stop in and see Josh and Anisia! They are happy to help get you started!

Juniors and Seniors: Prom is scheduled for Saturday April 9. If you plan to take a guest who is NOT a student at Cedar Falls High School, you must fill out a guest form. These are now available to pick up in the main office from Mrs. Skarlis. These need to be returned NO LATER than Wednesday, April 6 by 3:30 pm. Remember, you will not be able to purchase a prom ticket until ALL detentions and Power School fees are cleared.

A reminder that today at 11:00 am, multicultural students are invited to a short meeting in the auditorium. Information will be shared about several multicultural organizations and opportunities at CFHS along with how to get involved. Keep an eye out for invites coming from the Counseling office. See you there!
