Today we will share a quote from Ella Fitzgerald as we continue to honor Black History Month: “Just don’t give up what you’re trying to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong."
Starting today, we will be focusing on one of our Tiger Pride commitments each day of the week. Today, we are focusing on the letter "I" - Remember to initiate a face to face conversation with someone today. Let's have Tiger Pride!
Join us in celebrating Speech Team students Sophia Woods, Harrison Kirschenmann, Meghan Chagdes, Eli Flikkema and Jamie McDowell for being honored as "All-State Performers" for their acting piece called "Two Seconds. They will take their award winning ensemble acting group to perform at the IHSSA all-state festival in Ames on February 19. Congratulations to them and all our speech team members for some great performances this season.
The CF Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet during the first shift of Power Hour today in the gym. All students are welcome to attend.
Listen up Junior Leadership! We will be meeting Wednesday, February 9 during the 1st shift of Power Hour in Mrs. Llerena's room, 160, to discuss poster and ticket designs, music and more.
A representative from the United States Marines will be here on Wednesday, February 9th at 10:30 am and a representative from Winona State University will be available via a Zoom meeting. Sign up through Schoology.
Follow the Tigers: Girls' JV 1 Basketball game will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:30 pm at CFHS; Boys' Sophomore Basketball game will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:30 pm at Dubuque Wahlert.
REMINDERS: JUNIORS and SOPHOMORES! It is a VERY important week! The school counselors will be in English classes for Juniors on Tuesday, February 8th and Social Studies classes for all sophomores on Wednesday, February 9th to give you more information and have you put your requests in Power School. If you are a Junior not in an English class or a Sophomore not in a social studies class, please let me know asap. Please use the CFHS Department Information Page and BE PREPARED!!
If you are interested in learning more about joining the Men's Rugby team, there will be an informational meeting on February 9th right after school in room 34.
