Announcements: Thursday, February 3, 2022 B Day

In honor of Black History Month, we will share a quote by Franklin Thomas who was an activist, philanthropist and former president of the Ford Foundation: “One day our descendants will think it is incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings.”

Attention seniors: Graduation is only a few months away, and the process is underway to determine the senior class speaker. Friday is the LAST day to nominate either yourself or a peer for the honor of representing your class at commencement. You can find the nomination form on your Senior class Schoology page. A hard copy must be submitted to Ms. Anderson by the end of the day Friday.

JUNIORS and SOPHOMORES! It is time to get ready for scheduling classes for 2022-23. The school counselors will be in English classes for Juniors on Tuesday, February 8th and Social Studies classes for Sophomores on Wednesday, February 9th to give you more information and have you put your requests in Power School. School counselors will be meeting individually with each student after next week to finalize your requests. Please be prepared for when we come to your classes with questions. Unfortunately, we do not have time to meet with everyone before next week, so please be prepared for your individual meetings and we will get everything taken care of for your schedule.

Follow the Tigers: Girls' JV 2 Basketball game will begin at 5:30 pm at Dubuque Senior; JV and Varsity Wrestling Dual will begin at 6:15 pm at Iowa City Liberty.

REMINDERS: Any 10th or 11th graders interested in auditioning for Concert Choir for next school year, please sign up on the schedule outside of the choir room. If you have any questions ask Mr. Kranz or see a current choir member.
