Hey, Class of 2024! The CFHS Counselors are excited to start small group meetings with our sophomores for the next couple of weeks. You will receive a pass that will tell you where to go and when. Please check in with your teachers and then join us. We will share helpful and important information. We look forward to meeting all of you!!
Students interested in the information about registration for UNI courses this spring can stop in the Counseling Office during Power Hour today and see Mrs. Dieken!
Any girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in going out for soccer this spring, there will be an informative meeting Wednesday, Nov. 10th at the high school at 3:30pm in Ms. Anderson's classroom, Rm 214. This is an informative meeting to talk about optional weight lifting and open gym times. We are also having an upcoming optional team bonding event. More information will be provided at the meeting. Please contact Coach Place at alexplace4@gmail.com if you have questions, or are interested in soccer but can't attend the meeting. Soccer starts officially March 14th.
A representative from Yale University will be available to speak with interested students on Friday, November 5 at 10:30. Sign up through Schoology.
Follow the Tigers: Varsity Volleyball plays in the State Championship game today against Pleasant Valley beginning at 10:00 am in Cedar Rapids.
REMINDERS: Seniors! It is again time to sign up for FAFSA help! You can sign up for help on Monday, November 8th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm in the library. It is so important to get your FAFSA done as soon as possible,. The link to sign up is on Schoology and it was emailed to you.
Any athlete that will be signing a National Letter of Intent on the early signing date of November 10th, to compete in college next year, is invited to participate in our annual early signing day ceremony. If you are signing early, and want to participate, please stop by the athletic office. Deadline to sign-up will be Monday, November 8th.
The deadline to register for the December 11th ACT is this Friday, November 5th. Seniors: If you need to take or retake the ACT, register NOW. Sign up for the ASVAB is available on Schoology NOW! The ASVAB will be offered on November 19th at 8:45 a.m. in the library. It will take about 90 minutes and you will need your Google Chromebook. ASVAB stands for Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. Students interested in the military should take the ASVAB. It is also worthwhile for students to take the ASVAB if they are uncertain about their future plans and want to learn more about their strengths and deciding what to do after high school.
