A reminder to ALL Sophomores: you need to report to Shift 1 of Power Hour today.
If you love reading and want to join a community of readers, come to the first Battle of the Books meeting on Tuesday, September 21 in the library during Shift 2 of Power Hour. The Iowa High School Battle of the Books is a contest for 9th-12th graders across the state. Student teams work together to read a list of 28 popular and high interest young adult titles. Students participate in a virtual qualifying round in March. The top sixteen qualifying teams then move on to the in-person Grand Battle in Marshalltown. A representative from Northwestern University in Illinois will be available via a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, Sept 21 at 9:45 am. Interested students may sign up on Schoology.
This is a reminder about signing up for a Job Shadow, which is an opportunity for students to visit job sites of careers that they are interested in pursuing. It is a great way to explore. First, sign up on the Google Doc on Schoology. Second, come to the meeting on Wednesday, September 22nd. Third, look for information and details in your email. Deadline to sign up for a 1st semester job shadow is October 1st!
Follow the Tigers: Boys' Varsity Golf meet will begin at 3:15 pm at The Meadows Golf Course in Dubuque; Sophomore and Varsity Volleyball will begin at 6:00 pm at Dike-New Hartford High School; Boys' Rugby tournament will begin at 6:30 pm in Bondurant.
