We are fortunate to be offering both in-person and virtual visits this year at CFHS with College, Career, and Military representatives. The link to register for these visits has been posted on Schoology. You will receive a pass to the Counseling office on the day of your visit. This Friday we are hosting Kirkwood Community College!
Food service would like to announce that the Snack Room is open once again!!! Please stop in for an assortment of drinks, snacks and ice cream treats that can be purchased a la carte. They will be open during lunch hours.
Are you a brand new student to Cedar Falls? The school counselors will be meeting with all new students today during 4th hour. If you are new and did not receive a pass, please check in with the counseling office.
Reminder that Student Senate will meet tomorrow, Thursday, September 16th in room 202 during Power Hour. Student Senate members please check on Schoology and check out the t-shirt designs.
Any DECA student who is still interested in attending the Fall Leadership Conference in Des Moines must see Mrs. Cuvelier or Mr. Girling today and let them know you intend to go. You must also tell them your shirt size. We must be registered by end of the day today.
A representative from University of Minnesota Rochester will be available to speak with interested students via Zoom on Wednesday, September 22 at 9:45 am. Interested students may sign up on Schoology
Do you like Anime or Manga? Are you looking to make friends with the same interests? Come to our first Anime Club of the year on Friday, Sept 17 during shifts 1 and 2 of Power Hour in Room 203. Join in the discussion for what we will be doing this year as a club! Bring your lunch and bring ideas! Look for the girl in the wig!
CPR hands on testing will be held on Thursday, September 16 (B day) during periods 1-7, and the 1st shift Power Hour in the gym. Please arrive at the beginning of the hour and bring your completed online certificate with you. You will not be allowed to do the hands-on testing if you do not have your certificate.
Listen up Junior Leadership! We will meet TODAY during the 1st shift of Power Hour in Room 160 to continue planning the decorating of the junior hallway. If you are a student who is in band and cannot attend 1st shift- but are wanting to participate in junior leadership, please reach out to Mrs. Llerena or Mrs. Chiles about how you can still be a part of Junior Leadership!
It is time to sign up for a JOB SHADOW! Students are able to go visit job sites of careers that they are interested in pursuing. It is a great way to explore. First, sign up on the Google Doc on Schoology. Second, come to the meeting next Wednesday, September 22nd. Third, look for information and details in your email. Deadline to sign up for 1st semester is October 1st! This is a great opportunity! Don't miss it!
