Registration for the 2021 PSAT is still open! The PSAT will take place on Wednesday, October 13th. Students will need to complete the Google Form on Schoology to register. The PSAT is first-come first-serve as we have ordered a certain number of tests for sophomores and juniors.
Listen up Junior Leadership! We will meet Wednesday, September 15th to continue planning decorating our junior hallway. Please plan to come during the 1st shift of Power Hour in Mrs. Llerena's room, 160. If you are a student who is in band and cannot attend 1st shift- but are wanting to participate in Junior leadership, please reach out to Mrs. Llerena or Mrs. Chiles about how you can still be a part of Junior Leadership!
Seniors! If you have yet to take the ACT the next opportunity is October 23rd and the deadline to sign up is Friday, September 17! If you need help, please come to the counseling office periods 4,5 and 7, or 2nd shift of Power hour.
CPR hands on testing will be held on Thursday, September 16 (B day) during 1st-7th hr. plus first shift power hour in the gym. Please arrive at the beginning of the hour and bring your completed online certificate with you. You will not be allowed to do the hands on testing if you do not have your certificate.
Do you like Anime or Manga? Are you looking to make friends with the same interests? Come to our first Anime Club of the year and join in the discussion for what we will be doing this year as a club! Bring your lunch and bring ideas! Go to room 203 in the English hallway. Look for the girl in the wig!
The CF Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a kick-off meeting during the first shift of Power Hour today. The location has moved and will now be on the sophomore football practice field by the church. Learn what FCA is all about and grab an ice cream sandwich. Attendance will be taken for sophomores and shared with your Power Hour teacher. Please see Mr. Wilkinson with any questions.
A representative from Kirkwood Community College will be here on Friday, September 17th at 10:30 am to speak with interested students. Also, a representative from Northwestern University in Illinois will be available via a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, Sept 21 at 9:45 am. Interested students may sign up on Schoology.
Please join Women's Leadership this Friday, September 17th during the 1st shift of Power Hour in the auditorium. Sophomores, we will take attendance so you can attend if you have Power Hour.
A reminder that DECA will meet today in room 275 shift 1 of Power Hour for all those interested in attending the Fall Leadership Conference in October.
Follow the Tigers: Sophomore and JV Volleyball will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:00 pm at Cedar Rapids Washington; Girls' Varsity Swimming and Diving meet will begin at 6:00 pm at Loras College in Dubuque.
