Registration for the PSAT is open! One benefit of taking the PSAT is gaining experience in a "testing situation" in preparation for the ACT. Remember that colleges and universities will NOT use these scores for admissions purposes, but it is GREAT practice for those students planning on going to a four-year school. Please check Schoology for more information.
The Fall CF Ambush E-sports season is coming up on Monday, September 20th. We will be competing in 5 different games this year. We are looking for students who are interested in competing and also supporting the teams through streaming and on the technical side. Fill out the Fall interest form on the CF Ambush extra-curricular website if you are interested. There will be a parent meeting on Monday, September 13th at the High School for more information.
A representative from Kirkwood Community College will be here on Friday, September 17 at 10:30 am to speak with interested students. Please sign up through Schoology.
SAGA will meet today during Power Hour in Rm 106. All are welcome to attend. If you have questions about this group, email or see Mrs. Langan in the Counseling office.
A reminder to Juniors and Seniors that today is the deadline to sign up for the College Fair that takes place on Tuesday, September 14 at the McLeod Center. Sign up on your class page on Schoology.
Sophomores and Juniors: Picture day will be on Monday, Sept 13. HR Imaging will be here to take pictures of students who did not have their picture taken on registration days in August. You will be notified when it is your time to come to the auditorium to take care of this. This is also an opportunity to have your picture re-taken if you wish to do so. Re-takes will be anytime before school on Monday from 7:30-9:25 am.
Follow the Tigers: Sophomore football game will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by the Varsity at 7:15 pm at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids; SATURDAY: Sophomore volleyball tournament will begin at 9:00 am at Prairie High School; Varsity volleyball tournament will begin at 9:00 am at Osage High School; Swimming and Diving Varsity Invitational will begin at 12:00 pm at the Linn-Mar Aquatic Center; Jazz 1 Band will perform at Artapalooza downtown Cedar Falls from 2:00-3:00 pm.
