Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a surgeon or doctor is like? CAPS Med provides you with an amazing opportunity to meet and possibly job shadow surgeons and doctors from all around the Cedar Valley area. Hear from and talk to guest speakers that will give advice on how to get a head start on your career and how to navigate your way through the medical field. Sign up to get hands on experiences and learn from professionals. If interested talk to your School counselor for more information.

If you are interested in participating in ESports for the spring season, please fill out the form on the CFHS website under the Athletics tab and select the games you are interested in playing. The form must be filled out by Thursday, March 4. All players will compete mostly from home during the Spring Season, but we will be looking at using the arena for 1 or 2 times a week after school. Due to the number of players, district guidelines, and guidance from local and state agencies regarding COVID mitigation strategies, we feel that this will allow us for the most continuity throughout the season. If you are interested in competing in a game but don’t have the correct equipment or software, we have limited availability of devices and licenses that you can check out if needed.

The application for the 2021 Oliver W. (Bud) Eason Scholarship is now open. The award is presented annually to a CFHS senior who has demonstrated during their four years of high school an understanding and focused interest in mathematics and/or science. We are so thankful to be able to continue this tribute to Oliver W. (Bud) Eason, who taught mathematics and science classes for 42 years, 40 of those years at CFHS. Please check Schoology for more information.

Follow the Tigers: Girls' Varsity Basketball will play the first game of the State tournament against Johnston today at 1:00 pm at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
