Good Morning Cedar Falls Highschool and Happy Black History Month! What better time than now to finally come together and start educating ourselves more on our history. Each week this month we’ll be presenting research topics to explore to learn more about events in Black History and significant black individuals who have not been presented within history books. This week's challenge would be Juneteenth and Bessie Smith! A wonderful Jazz singer that you’ll sure come to love! Starting today (Tuesday), students will see a Google Form posted in Schoology where they can share what they learned about one or all of the week’s topics. Students who fill out the form will then be entered in a junk food drawing! Winners will be selected every Monday. The more entries completed, the more chances to win! And remember it’s not all about the prizes, it's about learning about our past to finally come to an understanding about ourselves as individuals and most importantly as a group. So good luck! And have fun!
