TODAY is the last day to purchase a "Think Twice" sticker to benefit the Gil Taiber Scholarship fund. The cost of the stickers is $5 each and they can be purchased in the high school main office.
Attention Juniors and Sophomores: Please mark your calendar for Monday, January 27th at 5:30PM for a College and Career planning presentation. It would be great if you could come with your parents or with your friends! Departments will also be showcasing the courses they offer so you can get information about scheduling for next year.
The deadline for 2nd-semester schedule changes was December 20th, 2019. Schedule changes now will only be made for students who have failed classes or do not have enough classes.
The deadline to register for the February 8th ACT is Friday, January 10th. Please see your counselor if you need help!
There will be an informational meeting for all pitchers and catchers in grades 8-12 on Wednesday, January 15th at 5:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Preseason workouts will be set up for pitchers and catchers at this time. Coach Chidester looks forward to meeting with you.
Follow the Tigers: Boys' and Girls' JV and Varsity Bowling will begin at 3:00 pm at May City Bowl in Cedar Rapids; JV and Varsity Wrestling will begin at 6:15 pm at CFHS; Boys' Varsity Swim meet will begin at 6:00 pm at Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
REMINDERS: This is some reminder information about the Sadie Hawkins Snow Ball dance: It will take place on Saturday, January 18th at the UNI Maucker Union from 7-10pm. Tickets must be ordered through the ticket form on the CFHS website, and then may be picked up in the main office. Tickets are $10 each and will NOT be sold at the door. The deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday, January 16th by 3:30 pm. Remember to pick up a guest form in the main office if you plan to bring a guest who is not a student at CFHS. The deadline to turn these in is Wednesday, January 15th by 3:30 pm. All proceeds from the dance will go to the Gil Taiber Scholarship fund.
