Today the Environmental Awareness Team is challenging you to think about how you can heat your home more efficiently. It's obvious that your home needs to be at a comfortable temperature, but rather than heating the entire house, in one room one you can find your favorite blanket, put extra layers of clothes on or close off a small room and use a space heater. Installing a smart thermostat will allow you to turn down the heat during the day when no one is home and drop the temperature at night when everyone is sleeping. All of these techniques not only save money but they reduce carbon dioxide emissions and our dependence on fossil fuels.
ALL juniors will be taking the Accuplacer on Monday, December 16th during periods 2,3 and 4. Please see your email or Schoology for more details and information.
Follow the Tigers: Girls' and Boys' JV and Varsity Bowling will begin at 4:15 pm at Maple Lanes in Waterloo; SATURDAY: the Keith Young Wrestling Invitational will begin at 10:00 am at CFHS; Boys' Varsity Swimming Invitational will begin at 11:00 am at Ames High School.
REMINDERS: The John Deere Early Talent Program will be here to meet with students interested in this program on Monday, December 9th during Power Hour. We will meet in the auditorium.
