Registration And Beginning Of The Year Information

Lincoln Families - We are excited to begin a new school year filled with learning! Our registration procedures have changed this year and we will utilize online registration. A few reminders about how to register online:

Available now through August 23, 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. at Cedar Falls Schools Administration Building, 1002 W. 1st Street. Assistance is also available by phone at 319-553-2644. Every family of a current student will need to have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account as well as an account with the online fee payment system, RevTrak. In order to complete the online registration system for the 2017-18 school year you will need to login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. You can complete the online registration using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

If you need help setting up your PowerSchool account, please visit the PowerSchool Overview page.

Also, if you need help with online registration, please plan to stop by the Lincoln Office during these hours:

Friday, July 28: 8:15 AM to 1:30 PM and 2:30-4:15 PM

Monday, July 31: 8:15 AM to 1 PM and 3-6 PM

Due to these changes, we have collected questions you may be wondering about as we begin the year:

How will we find out my child’s teacher? Families will receive an email from the district on August 18th with the homeroom assignment for each student.

How will we sign up for Input Conferences? We will use the same system we use to register for conferences to sign up for Input Conferences. It is called Canyon Creek. Directions for signing up will be sent on August 18th.

When can I pay my school fees? You may pay school fees online or in the building now. Directions can be found here.

How do we sign up for transportation to or from school? You may request transportation using this form.

How do I complete a free or reduced meals application? Please visit this page for the applications.

What types of snacks are allowed at Lincoln? Lincoln is a Blue Zones School. We are proud to encourage our students to make healthy choices during designated snack times. This not only helps our students to be healthy, it accommodates our students with food allergies. Here are a few healthy snack ideas for families as they prepare for the year. In addition, due to food allergies, all classroom treats must come in packages with a label. This allows us to be sure everyone can participate. We encourage non-food birthday items as well. Here are several ideas to consider.

How can I get involved? We welcome your involvement in our school and look forward to partnering with families! If you would like to help, please consider volunteering in a classroom, supporting PALS (Parents and Lincoln School), helping Farm to School or many other available opportunities. To begin the year, we will ask all volunteers to complete a Volunteer Information form before beginning. These are available in our office.
