Celebrating Homecoming Week at CFHS

Dear CFHS Parents and Students,

Homecoming Week is off to a fantastic start at Cedar Falls High School! Our student grade-level leaders did an outstanding job getting our Tiger-Fever started off on the right foot by decorating the halls and organizing today’s spirited assembly, where we announced this year’s Homecoming Court for King and Queen.

Throughout the week, students have the chance to show their Tiger pride through themed days: PJ/Toga Day, Twins Day, Hawaiian vs. Safari Day, and class colors—black for seniors, red for juniors, and white for sophomores. Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17, is “Anything but a Backpack Day." No wheels and no tactical or range backpacks allowed.

We’re looking forward to continuing the excitement with Friday’s football game against Iowa City High and Saturday’s Homecoming Dance, “A Night on the Bayou.” We want both of these capstone events to be well-attended, substance-free, and a true reflection of the character and grit of our school community.

Thank you for your support in making this week memorable. It’s an honor to serve the CFHS community. Go Tigers!

Kind regards,

Alan Heisterkamp, Ed.D.
