First Day of School -Monday, August 25

The first day of school will be Monday, August 25. 

As a reminder, every Monday, classes will run from 9:25 am-2:55 pm.

Bus riders: students will ride the normal Monday bus schedule if students plan to ride the bus on the first day of school.

8:30 - Front Doors Open for students who ride the bus or eat breakfast

9:15 - Arrival time for students who do not ride the bus and do not eat breakfast

9:25 - All students report to period 1 and will go through a Monday bell schedule for classes.

2:55 - All student dismissed

Lunch Shifts

We will have 3 lunch shifts for the 2025-26 school year. Students will eat lunch during their 4th period class.

School Picture Retakes

School picture retakes will take place on Monday, September 22 (B day).  Those students that were not present on the registration days in August will have their photo taken regardless of purchase, for school records, ID cards and yearbooks. Those students that need to have a retake will be expected to do this first thing beginning at 7:30-9:20 am or during their lunch time. You may order School Photos HERE.

Busing Questions

2025-26 Bus routes will be posted on the Transportation page of the Parent Portal prior to the first day of school.   Log in to your Parent Portal and click on the Transportation tab on the left menu.

If you have questions regarding school busing to and from school, please call the bus garage at (319)553-2458.

Transportation is free for high school students (10-12) that live more than three miles from the high school. These distances are determined by the Cedar Falls Transportation Department. Students who live under 3 miles will be paying riders. Students can purchase a bus pass with the High School Bookkeeper at the beginning of each month. Monthly bus fees can be found on the transportation website.

Parents/Guardians of open enrolled students are responsible for their student(s) transportation.

Parent/Guardian of Rules Exception students are responsible for their student(s) transportation.
