Announcements: Thursday, September 21, 2023 A Day

Seniors: The Senior Sunrise has been postponed until NEXT Friday, September 29. There is forecast of cloudy and a chance of rain tomorrow. Thank you for understanding!

A reminder to students about parking! There are two staff lots on campus, one is next to the track and football field on the North side of the school, and the other is in the Southwest corner of campus next to the practice football field. Those lots are for staff only, and traveling teachers. A parking permit is required to park there. If you make the choice to park in a staff lot, you are at risk for being issued a parking ticket with a fine.

A reminder that there will be a DECA meeting TODAY for all students interested in joining our business club. Please come to room 275 during shifts 1 & 2 of Power hour. Find out what DECA is about!

Attention Seniors and students ~ Are you interested in an education from an elite Ivy League university? Yale University (CT) will have a college representative here at Cedar Falls High School on September 28 at 1:20pm. As you know, Yale's motto is Light and Truth! Do you enjoy thinking harder, and diving deeper into carbon free electric power? St. Olaf College (MN) will also have a college representative here at Cedar Falls High School on September 28 at 9:45am. If you are interested in visiting with either college representative, please sign up through the link on Schoology!

A reminder that Battle of the Books is having an informational meeting today in the library during the second shift of Power Hour. We are in need of sophomores and juniors interested in being a part of a team of readers. Stop by to see what Battle of the Books is all about today.

Congratulations to the following seniors for being recognized for going above and beyond in our school and community: Maddie Gallagher, Sriya Kalala, Pranav Kota and Ellie Meyer. They will be recognized at a luncheon with the Exchange Club in the next coming months and could possibly be eligible for a $15,000 scholarship.

If you are planning to play women's basketball this year, please attend a short meeting TODAY during 1st shift of Power Hour in Coach Girling's classroom (room 270).
