What happens if my Chromebook is damaged?

In the case of an accidental or intentional incidents, the family will be responsible for the cost of repairing the device. The district has tried to keep any expenses to families as low as possible. The cost of the repair is only for the cost of the part and not for replacing it. Below you will find the pricing list for Samsung and Dell models. There are some cost differences due to there being three different models of Chromebooks.

What happens if my Chromebook is stolen?

In the case of theft, a police report must be completed and turned in to the school.

Google Docs does not appear to be working properly.  What should I do?

Any time that a service on your Chromebook does not seem to be working properly (for example, YouTube, Schoology, etc), you should try to reset your browser and clear your browser history.  This can be done by following the following steps:

Step 1: Reset Browser

  1. In your Chrome browser, click on the three vertical dots in the
    upper right corner of your screen
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Scroll al the way to the bottom of the page
  4. Click on the blue link that says "Advanced"
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page again
  6. Click on "Reset"
  7. Sign back into Google

Step 2: Clear Your History

  1. Ctrl + H
  2. Choose "Clear Browsing data"
  3. Choose the time range "All time"
  4. Check These:
    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
  5. Click on "Clear data"

Step 3: Restart Your Chromebook

  1. Press the "Power" and "Refresh" buttons at the same time
