12.25-1.2 - No School, Merry Christmas!

Mitten Tree: Our Mitten Tree is up! We have placed mittens on our tree in the office. Each mitten is a gift for a Lincoln student. This is a great opportunity to help a student and family celebrate Christmas! If you have chosen to participate, please return the wrapped gifts by Wednesday, December 20th. Thank you for considering!

Student Designed T-Shirt Due: We are excited to offer a student designed t-shirt for order! This fall we held a design contest and had many amazing entries. We narrowed our group down to 5 and with student help, we chose a winner! Congrats to Gabe on his winning design! These shirts can be purchased through Sunday, December 17th through this link. They will be delivered to school by Thursday, December 21st. Happy shopping!

Celebration of Learning: To celebrate a great fall, we will enjoy a movie on Thursday or Friday in our Cafeteria. We will vote on the movie we would like to watch early in the week. Please watch your email for our decision. Students are welcome to bring something to sit on. Please do not send snacks!

Winter Clothing: We will embrace the chance to enjoy winter weather! If the temperature is above zero (actual or with wind chill), we will be enjoying the winter weather! Please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather. Once there is snow on the ground, students will need snowpants and boots. If you need assistance with winter gear, please contact the office at 553.2950 and we are happy to help!

2018-2019 Kindergarten Students: We need your help getting a list of all our 2018-2019 incoming kindergarten students. If you have a student who will be a kindergartner next year (2018-2019), please fill out this Google Form. Please feel free to share this post with family and friends who will have an incoming kindergarten student at Lincoln next school year. If you know of a student who will be a kindergartner at our new elementary, Aldrich, please have them call the business office at 319.553.2423. Thanks for being proactive and helping us getting a kindergarten list created!

Wacky Winterfest! PALS is now gathering sponsors for our Wacky Winterfest raffle. Wacky Winterfest is our largest school fundraiser and we need your help to make it happen. Our date for Wacky Winterfest will be Saturday, February 17th from 11 AM to 2 PM to accommodate other events in town on the same day. Is your family or business willing to sponsor a $100 (or more) raffle prize? Contact Liz Gerdes at begerdes@yahoo.com to offer your donation. If you are interested in helping to plan the event, please email lincolnpalspresident@gmail.com. Watch for more information in the coming weeks about ways to get involved. Be sure to like our Facebook page (Lincoln PALS) for the most up to date information.

Weather-Related Announcements: The contact information we have in Power School is the same information that our weather-related announcements will pull from. Please ensure your Power School information is accurate, so you receive the necessary weather related alerts.

We are pleased to announce that we have an Online Directory! This is an optional opportunity for families to share contact information with other families.
