We Are Getting Closer To Enjoying Our New Equipment!

One step closer to enjoying our new playground equipment! This afternoon we were greeted by many volunteers with shovels and wheelbarrows in hand, ready to secure our equipment by filling the holes with concrete. We made it just a few minutes before the rains! Our next step is to have the excavated area filled with rock and then mulch. We Need Your Help on Thursday, June 15th at 3 PM!

We need your help! With the help of many hands last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we have placed most of our new playground equipment! We appreciated all of the help and food or water donations, especially in the heat! This hard work will really benefit our students next year! We have two more steps to complete this work. Holmes Bike Club

The Spring Session of the Holmes Bicycle Club had "check-in" days for 8 weeks in April and May.  David Butler, Will Coloff, Charis Crozier, Colin Seeks, Nick Thompson and Aleah Timm all had perfect attendance.  They each earned a $10 gift certificate to Bike Tech and had their name in the drawing for a $50 gift certificate.  Nick Thompson was the lucky winner.  Neel Shah rode his bike 7 of the 8 days and also earned a $10 gift certificate to Bike Tech.  Grace Bobeldyk and Eli Flikkema ro [...]

Recycled School Supplies

At the end of the school year, one of the traditions at Holmes Jr. High is that the students recycle their left over school supplies (if they aren't taking them home to use next year.)  Eight tightly packed boxes of supplies were donated to the Boys and Girls Club in Waterloo.  Pictured is Kali and Makayla sorting the supplies.  They volunteered two of their study halls to help with this project.
