Both Kindergarten classes have been working together to study the 5 senses. Their studies included experimentation exercises, reading activities, and visiting the Phelps Youth Pavilion.  They anticipate sharing their learning through a 5 Senses Museum soon. Their learning journey has been rooted in authentic learning.

Students practice durable skills every day and earn S.H.I.N.E. tickets when they are caught showing respect, having a helpful heart, exhibiting integrity, navigating the hard situations, and engaging in learning.  We love to see those shining North Cedar students!

Holmes Junior High Student Council has instigated a TigerTime Penny War beginning on Monday November 3. All funds raised will go to the Northeast Iowa Foodbank. Every dollar the Foodbank receives equals up to four meals for those in need. How does it work? Silver coins and dollar bills ADD to the class total at face value. Each penny takes points away. Peet Junior High will have a Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11.
