Student Transportation of Students - Free passes will be furnished to students in the District riding school-owned buses who are entitled to free transportation. They are:
- Students in grades 10-12 residing more than three miles from the attendance center.
- Students in grades 7-9 residing more than two miles from the attendance center.
- Students in grades K-6 (PK Special Ed) residing more than two miles from the attendance center, except that the distance limitation may be reduced by the administration to one mile in instances where traffic and/or walking conditions are adjudged to warrant the reduction.
Tickets are sold for $44.00 each month (except December and March when cost is $36.00) to students riding school-owned buses that are not eligible for free transportation. Tickets should be purchased during the week previous to the first of each month. Bus riders must show their pass or ticket when getting on the bus each day. In some cases riders may give their ticket to the driver to hold. Please make it clear that if the rider does not have a ticket or pass there will be no ride after one warning. One way ticket cost is $22.00 per month (except December and March when the cost is $18.00). Single one way tickets are available at a cost of $1.25 per one way trip.
