Thanks To Pack 179 For Replacing Our Garden Beds!

Thanks to Pack 179 for replacing our garden beds! They spent Saturday morning working at Lincoln to replace 1/2 of our garden beds. We use our gardens to support our fall Farm To School servings. We are hopeful that we will also be able to use produce for the salad bar offered during our lunches. We would like to thank PALS for funding this work and will look forward to replacing the remaining three in the near future!

All City Band Was Brilliant!

All City Band was brilliant! We enjoyed hearing the debut performance of our 5th grade students as well as the growth demonstrated by our 6th grade band students last night! We thank our families for their support of practice at home as well as helping our students arrive at early morning practice. All City Vocal was magnificent! Our 5th and 6th grade singers sounded amazing and were able to share their hard work to prepare during the year! We especially enjoyed the ending song where all vocal voices from our district combined on Battle Hym Of The Republic. Lincoln Supports The UNI Dance Marathon!

This weekend Lincoln Elementary, Cedar Falls High School, Southdale Elementary, and many other schools in the area were honored at the UNI Dance Marathon for holding our own mini dance marathons. Dance Marathon Was Amazing!

Every year Lincoln students and staff support the Dance Marathon by holding a mini-marathon during the school day. We sell hearts to raise money to benefit the Children's Hospital in Iowa City. The donations are made to the UNI Dance Marathon and finally to the Children's Hospital. Thank You For The Blanket Donations!

We are thankful for the support of our students, families and local community!  Starting with 288 yards of solid colored fleece, students and families who are members of the  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints created 70 blankets and cards to go along with the blankets. These blankets were donated to both Lincoln and Southdale Elementary Schools to provide to students. Thank You Cedar Falls Schools Foundation!

We are thankful for the support provided by the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation! We had two groups submit Teacher Excellence Grants that were funded to support our students! The first grant was written by Mrs. Klein and Mrs. Linck, who won the Carol Brenden Award to support Shared Reading instruction through big and little books. In addition, Mrs. Droe was awarded a grant to support tinikiling in Music. Congrats to both groups!
