Lincoln Weekly Announcements 2017-09-14

Academics Lincoln Elementary

Lincoln Families - Thank you for another great week of learning!

A few important dates to begin the year for your planning:

9.15 - Professional Development, no school for students

9.22 - Farm To School

9.28 - Literacy Night from 6:00-7:00 PM, more information will be coming!

10.4 - Walk To School Day, information below

Families - students cannot be in the building or on our playground before 8:30 AM. We do not have supervision available. Thank you for ensuring your children follow this request. In addition, it is important to have a plan for dismissal each day. Our office closes at 4:15 and students need to be picked up before that time.

Bus Safety and Evacuation Drills - we conducted these drills with our students on Friday, September 8th. Our drivers discussed making sure we follow our BUS basics, which includes sitting back to back, bottom to bottom, using an appropriate voice and putting safety first. They reminded students to stay several steps back from the bus to wait for it to stop and that we do not eat or drink on the bus. Ask you student about it!

Farm To School Volunteers Are Needed! We are excited to begin our Farm To School program! This parent run program helps all students to be exposed to fresh and locally sourced foods. In order to make this happen, we need your help please! Could you consider signing up using this Sign Up genius please? We are looking forward to your help!
