Student Life Peet Junior High

PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Tuesday, September 19th an A Day.

9th grade volleyball had a great night last night.  A team won 21-12 both games, and B team won 21-18 and 22-20.

Last Thursday, the junior high girls cross country team competed at the Rich Engel Classic at Birdsall Park.  In the very hot conditions, the girls gave strong efforts to place second as a team.  The team was led by Taylor Kvale who was the overall winner.  Ella Hertz also finished in the top ten with a 4th place finish.  Awesome job to all of the runners!

A reminder to all students that loaner chromebooks need to be returned to the media center at the end of each day. Starting today detention will be given to students that fail to return their loaner chromebooks to the library.  If you are in after school activities or ride a bus home, plan to turn your chromebook in before 3. This does not include students that have chromebooks in for repair.

Would you like to help the people and animals affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma?  Reminder that we are having a contest at Peet between the grade levels and staff to see who can raise the most money. This week we will be selling paw prints to purchase pet supplies. These supplies will be taken to the Salvation Army to distribute to the affected people and pets.  We will sell paw prints before school, during lunch, and after school in the front lobby.  The cost of a white paw print will be $1.00 and the cost of a red paw print will be $5.00.  The paw prints will be hung on the front display case, so you can see how much each group has raised.  The winning group will get to do something fun at an assembly in November!  Thank you so much for all of your help and for thinking of others!

Peet students: Student council applications are finally in!  Stop by the counseling office and pick up a short application if you would like to be considered for this year’s Student Council crew!  Seventh, eighth, and ninth graders can all apply!  The application form is due in the counseling office no later than this Thursday, Sept. 21st.  If you are interested in taking an active part in your school, interested in leadership development and in doing fun activities in the community as a Peet representative…this is your chance!

Today’s lunch will be: Pizza Hut Sausage Pizza, Popcorn Chicken, Baked Beans, Celery with Ranch, and Sidekicks Fruit Slushie.

Happy birthday today to: Anthony Feist, Jacob Michael, & William Wolf!
