Orchard Hill's First Lego League Team qualifies for State Competition

Orchard Hill's First Lego League Team - #5571 "The Tenacious Tigers" - participated in the regional Lego League event held at Peet Junior High on Saturday, December 3. The team was awarded a trophy and each member received certificates for second place in the robot run portion of the competition. The team members were also awarded a certificate for advancement to the state tournament held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa on Saturday, January 14, 2017. 

Members are made up of Sixth Graders Tyler Strohman and Ben Tjaden; Fifth Graders Brayden Frey and Carter Halvorson; and Fourth Graders Jada Strohman and Drew Tjaden. They are supported by their coaches Brett and Jennifer Tjaden. Financial support was provided by the John Deere Company.
