9.12 - PALS meeting in the Media Center at 7:00 PM (Popsicles On The Playground for Kinder parents prior to the meeting)

9.14 - Fire Drill at 9:00 AM

9.15 - Professional Development, no school for students

School Pictures on Wednesday, September 6th

This is a friendly reminder that we have pictures on Wednesday, September 6th. We are seeking parent volunteers to help classes while waiting for their pictures in the Gym. If you can help (we typically start as close to 9:00 as possible and work to end before lunches (approximately 11:00 AM). If you are willing to help, please email Mr. Bryant (ralph.bryant@cfschools.org)

Pets At Lincoln - This is a request to our families who pick up their children as we have had many students and families tell us that their students are afraid of dogs. Could we ensure any dogs that come to the building are on a leash and stay outside of our fenced areas please? In addition, please do not bring pets inside the building. We appreciate your help with this!

Bike Rodeo - Please join us for our first Bike Rodeo on Friday, September 8th beginning at 4:15 PM! We are looking forward to helping our students learn to stop, signal and look, navigating cones, crossing intersections, riding trails and promoting bicycle safety. Students should bring their own bike and helmet and must be accompanied by an adult as participation waivers will be required. Our activities are geared towards Kindergarten through 4th grade students. We will watch the weather closely and if it is raining, we will cancel the event. See you there!

End of Day Dismissal Plans

The end of a school day can be rather hectic. Please establish a regular dismissal plan. If that needs to change, please notify the office and the classroom teacher before 3:15 PM (1:15 on Wednesdays) so we can deliver the message. Thank you for your help!

We ask that you wait until 3:45 to pick up your child. Coming in shortly before the end of the day disrupts the learning of others. That time can also add up significantly over time and leave gaps in your child’s learning. We realize that there are times that you must get your child early be we would ask that we possible you schedule appointments after 3:45 (1:50 on Wednesdays).

Please review this handout on arrival and dismissal to help maintain safety as we begin the school year.
