5.19 - Celebration of Learning! Students may wear PJ’s for smashing our Pocket Change For The Playground goal and their work during the school year!

5.19 - Bike Rodeo from 4:15-5:30

5.19 - 6th Grade Party at the UNI WRC from 6:00-9:00 PM

5.22 - Lego League Coach Recruitment meeting at 6:30 in the Media Center - see below for additional information

5.26 - 6th Grade to Hartman Reserve

5.31 - Awards Ceremony at 9:15 in the Gym

5.31 - End of the year picnics during each lunch

6.1 - 5th Grade field trip to Des Moines

6.7 - Lincoln Night at the Waterloo Bucks, game begins at 6:35 PM

Address, phone and/or email address changes: Please be sure to notify the office of any changes to your address, phone and/or email address as they come up. We should always have the most update information to contact our families. This also goes for any changes to your emergency contacts as well. You may email jessica.selleck@cfschools.org or call 319-553-2951 with these changes.

Also, please make sure you notify the office of any intentions to move out of the district over the summer as well.


Important reminder for May 17th - We have our Kindergarten visitation day from 9-11am for our incoming kindergartners. The current Kindergarten classes will not meet and 1st-6th will dismiss at NOON. Please make sure arrangements are made. Lunches are not served on noon dismissal days.


Pocket Change For The Playground Was A Huge Success! Our students have earned a Pajama Day on Friday, May 19th as they smashed our $1000 goal! Thank you for your generosity!


YEARBOOKS FOR SALE! We did get extra hardcover and softcover books sent to us! If you are still in need of a yearbook please send a check payable to Lincoln Elementary or send exact change. Softcovers are $15 and hardcovers are $20. These will be available until June 2nd and any yearbooks left over will be returned to the company for a credit.


ONLINE REGISTRATION and POWERSCHOOL PARENT PORTAL: Registration will be conducted online only and can be done from your smartphone or computer. Please refer to email sent to you by the district for registration information. You may call the Help Desk at 319-553-3004 or email powerhelp@cfschools.org.


Dress for Mess! 6th Grade tie-dye day on Thursday, May 18th. Make sure 6th graders dress for the mess, including shoes!


Stop Signs at 8th and Clay: Please be mindful that the Stop signs posted at the corners of 8th and Clay Street will only be open while our crossing guards are present each morning and afternoon. They will no longer be open during the school day. Please note this change if you use these intersections when coming to or leaving school.


Would you be interested in helping to coach a Lego League team? We will host an informational session for coaches on Monday, May 22nd at 6:30 PM in the Lincoln Media Center. Here is some information to allow you to consider this opportunity.


Our Playground Installation will tentatively happen on Saturday, June 10th beginning at 8 AM! We will need many volunteers to help this to be a successful installation! Can you help? http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044eada62ba6ff2-playground


6th Grade Party Information:

Our 6th grade party is on Friday, May 19th at the UNI Wellness and Recreation Center from 6:00-9:00 PM. PALS generously sponsors this party for our 6th graders as a “graduation” party before our students head to Holmes Junior High. Parents can help with donations of bottled water, Gatorade, chips, fruit or other snack items. If you would prefer to make a cash donation to go towards these items, that would be greatly appreciated as well!  We will also need parents to help chaperone. Would you like to be able to order school supplies in advance and have them waiting on Backpack Night? Our School Link is now up and ready to take your orders! Just follow the link select the grade, please enter your child's name (this is how we will make sure they are at their desk on backpack night). You can choose to add optional items then click add to cart, you have more than 1 student in the upper right hand corner select continue shopping and add another student box the same as above! Than when you're done click checkout enter your billing information select ship to school pay your bill and school supply shopping is done!
