THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT WEEK OF LEARNING!

Yearbooks have arrived! Your student should come home with your ordered copy either today or Monday! We have extra softcover ($15) and hardcover ($20) books available. These are available on a first come, first serve basis and we will not hold books aside. Please send in a check or exact funds as we do not have change available.

Pocket Change For The Playground! Next week we will continue to raise funds for our playground installation with Pocket Change For The Playground. Our goal is to have our students donate pocket change to help with the costs of this project. Each classroom will have a collection bucket with totals being posted on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The top class will earn a picnic lunch! Our school goal is to raise $1000, which we will celebrate with a pajama day!

Another reminder regarding drop off and pick ups: Per the District Handbook students should not be dropped off prior to 8:30 and students must be picked up at 3:45 (1:50 on Wednesdays).  This includes waiting on the playground unless under direct parent supervision.

ONLINE REGISTRATION and POWERSCHOOL PARENT PORTAL: Please refer to email sent to you by the district for registration information. You may call the Help Desk at 319-553-3004 or email powerhelp@cfschools.org.

Would your student like to sign up to perform at the Mini Variety Shows? This is the link to sign up for our Mini Variety Show to be held on Monday, May 15 with the following schedule: 9-9:40 (4th grade), 9:50-10:25 (3rd grade), 10:35-11:15 (5th grade), 11:30-12:05 (kindergarten), 12:15-12:50 6th grade), 1:25-2:00 (1st grade), 2:35-3:20 (2nd grade).  All forms must be submitted by Friday, May 5. Selected 3-6 grade students will perform at a school wide variety show on Friday, June 2: https://tinyurl.com/n3puk6k

Stop Signs at 8th and Clay: Please be mindful that the Stop signs posted at the corners of 8th and Clay Street will only be open while our crossing guards are present each morning and afternoon. They will no longer be open during the school day. Please note this change if you use these intersections when coming to or leaving school.

Would you be interested in helping to coach a Lego League team? We will host an informational session for coaches on Monday, May 22nd at 6:30 PM in the Lincoln Media Center. Here is some information to allow you to consider this opportunity.

Our Playground Installation will tentatively happen on Saturday, June 10th beginning at 8 AM! We will need many volunteers to help this to be a successful installation! Can you help? http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044eada62ba6ff2-playground

6th Grade Party Information:

Our 6th grade party is on Friday, May 19th at the UNI Wellness and Recreation Center from 6:00-9:00 PM. PALS generously sponsors this party for our 6th graders as a “graduation” party before our students head to Holmes Junior High. Parents can help with donations of bottled water, Gatorade, chips, fruit or other snack items. If you would prefer to make a cash donation to go towards these items, that would be greatly appreciated as well!  We will also need parents to help chaperone. Please find the attached link http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f094fafaf29ab9-6thgrade/ to sign up for donations and volunteer positions.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at loraandmarty@yahoo.com.  In addition, here is the permission slip and T-shirt order form if you are interested. These are due back to school by Friday, May 5th.
