The 7th and 8th grade wrestlers should be released at 2:50pm today

Congratulations to the Eighth Grade band students who performed at the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters District Honor band festival this past Saturday. While there, students rehearsed four pieces throughout the day and performed them on a concert that evening. As part of the day, students were able to audition for the state level honor band. There were 62 middle schools who had students there representing the north east portion of Iowa. There are 260 students who perform at the district honor band. 22 of those students are selected to perform at the state convention in May as part of the All-Iowa Eighth grade honor band. We had two students from Holmes selected as alternates: Hope Chiattello on the flute and Eliana Davidson on percussion. We also had two students who were selected to the band: Preston Atkins on bassoon and Pascal Cuhat on trumpet. Congratulations!

The sign up for this week's Super Smash Bros club can be found on Schoology. We will meet again on Wednesday, December 5th! The first 15 students to sign up will be able to attend Wednesday after school from 3:00 to 4:10. Please bring a controller if possible!

Variety Show auditions will be after school on December 12, 13, and 17. Please sign up for your time slot on the sheets outside the choir room. All types of acts are welcome, and don't need to be totally perfect yet. Come show us what you've got!
