Happy Earth Week! Today’s environmental tip focuses on the letter “A” for air pollution. Remember how we said reducing energy usage would be good for your finances? Well, it turns out that using fossil fuels for energy produces a large amount of air pollution. So, your efforts at conserving energy will also reduce CO2 levels in our atmosphere, reduce the amount of acid rainfall in our environment and reduce the occurrence of respiratory disorders such as asthma, bronchitis and lung disease.
Attention Sophomore Leadership members! We will meet during the first shift of Power Hour TODAY in the front lobby to take a picture for the yearbook! Please join us!

Are you hungry? Come to the Tiger Den Thursday before school through 4th hour and purchase a breakfast burrito made by Foods 3 students. Cinnamon rolls will also be available for purchase. Burritos and cinnamon rolls will cost $1.00 each.
A reminder that tonight from 5:00 to 8:00 pm is DECA Night at Chick-fil-A in Waterloo! Please support DECA by purchasing food on your mobile app. You must also use the code CFDECA. You can also spin the wheel for $1 to earn great food prizes.
There will be a Softball meeting on Thursday, April 25 at 6:30pm in the high school auditorium. This meeting is required for all athletes (and at least one parent or guardian) wishing to participate in Cedar Falls Softball for the 2024 season. If athletes have another commitment, one parent should still plan to attend. Contact Coach Teply with any questions.
Tickets for After Prom at the UNI WRC will be available starting Monday, April 29 during Power Hour as well as after school in the lobby. The cost of tickets is $10.00. Ticket sales will continue daily before school, during Power Hour, and after school through May 10. Forms of payments accepted include cash, or a check written out to "Parents Who Care." After Prom activities include: Inflatables, music bingo, karaoke, caricature artist, photo booth, rock climbing, swimming, volleyball, basketball and more...along with snacks from Big Acai, Here's What's Poppin, & Caseys! A reminder that the final day to order and pay for a 2023-2024 yearbook is this Friday, April 26, 2024. The cost is $65.00 and payment can be made in the main office. Check your PowerSchool Balance page or contact Mrs. Steffy to see if you have purchased a yearbook.
Looking for a laugh? There will be a one of a kind improv show on Thursday, April 25th at 8:00 pm in the school auditorium. Free admission to see the most talented improvers this side of the Mississippi. Bring a friend!
Follow the Tigers: Varsity Girls' Golf meet will begin at 11:00 am at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion; Varsity Boys' Tennis match will begin at Dubuque Hempstead at 4:00 pm; Girls' Varsity Tennis will begin at 4:00 pm at the UNI Tennis Complex; JV 1 Girls' Soccer game will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by the Varsity at 6:45 pm at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex; Varsity Boys' Soccer game will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the JV at 7:15 pm at Dubuque Senior High School; Trapshooting will begin at 3:00 pm.
REMINDERS: There are 7 school days left to serve detentions and pay Power School fines and fees by the May 1 deadline if you wish to attend prom and participate in commencement.
Use the link on Schoology to sign up for a prom ticket. Cost is $15.00 per ticket. Pay for and pick up your ticket in the main office.
If you are bringing a guest to prom who is a CFHS sophomore or does not attend CFHS, a guest form must be filled out. Pick these up in the main office. These are due to Mrs. Skarlis no later than May 8 by 3:30 pm!
