Are you interested in getting or need volunteer hours? There will be a Volunteer Fair TODAY in the lobby during Power Hour. Come check out all the amazing volunteer opportunities.
Cheerleading tryouts for 2018-2019 will be Saturday, February 24 from 8-5pm. Those interested in trying out must attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 14th at 4:00pm in the CFHS cafeteria. Questions: contact Coach Doyle at tjdoyle@cfu.net.
Are you interested in getting involved in making a difference in politics but you feel overwhelmed or don’t know where to start? Join the Cedar Falls High School Democrats for their first meeting of 2018 on Friday, February 16th in the auditorium during Power Hour. Pizza will be provided, and we are honored to have two guest speakers - State Senator Jeff Danielson and State Representative Timi Brown-Powers. We hope to see you there!
JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES: Just a reminder that the school counselors will be scheduling in your ENGLISH AND SOCIAL STUDIES classes on TODAY AND WEDNESDAY. Juniors-if you do not have an ENGLISH class OR Sophomores-if you do not have a SOCIAL STUDIES class, please see your school counselor ASAP to get scheduled in a classroom. Have your Chromebook charged up and make sure you are able to get into Career Cruising!
Girls interested in going out for golf: There is an mandatory informational meeting on WEDNESDAY during A shift of Power Hour in the health room. Please plan to attend. If you cannot attend, please email Coach Youngkent before Wednesday.
John Deere Early Talent Program will be here this Thursday, February 15th at 11:30 to talk with seniors who are planning on attending college and majoring in a STEM related field such as Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mathematics, Accounting and other technical related fields.Please check out your 2018 senior page on Schoology for more information.
Job Shadowing Announcement: Due to last Friday's snow day, parent permission deadline has been extended until the end of the day today. If you have permission forms that you would like to turn in, please get them to Mr. Wood by 3 P.M.
In honor of Valentines, support Mrs. Denholm by purchasing a candy bar for yourself, or a teacher, or a friend. Come to the Tiger’s Den before school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to purchase your candy for a dollar. All profits will be given to Mrs. Denholm.

Follow the Tigers: Girls' and Boys' Varsity Bowling State Qualifier match at 2:00 pm at Cedar Rapids Bowling Center; Boys' Sophomore and Varsity Basketball game beginning at 6:00 pm at Dubuque Hempstead.
Reminders: Join us for our annual Dance Marathon. Dance Marathon will be held this year form 1-4 on Saturday, Feb 24th in the gym. We will once again have our Dodgeball tournament.
