Announcements: Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 B Day

This week, the CFHS Women’s Leadership group is joining the fight against human trafficking. We will be participating in national END IT day this Thursday, February 23. A bake sale will be held Thursday morning with all the proceeds going to campaigns to end human trafficking. Each day this week the announcements will feature a fact about human trafficking, to bring awareness to the fact that it is real and happening in places around us.

Human Trafficking is the buying and selling of people for the reason of forcing them to work or for sexual exploitation.

Human trafficking is an issue that happens even in our home state of Iowa. Polaris, a nonprofit organization that works to combat modern-day slavery and human trafficking, identified Des Moines, Iowa in the top 100 locations that Human Trafficking takes place in the United States. Please join us in raising awareness an ending human trafficking.
