PEET JUNIOR HIGH DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today is Monday, December 4th an A Day.

The Tiger Way Award is given to students each month who show great character and go above and beyond to display the Tiger Way at Peet. This month’s winners are Noah Steege, nominated by Mrs. Beneke, and Logan Vallejo, nominated by Mrs. Carlson. Noah demonstrates the Tiger Way in Science class every day!  He is always polite and kind.  After everyone hurries out the door for the day, he waits and checks to make sure that everyone has put their chair up so the janitor can sweep.  He has also helps clean the lab area when people were in a hurry and didn’t take care of it themselves.  Noah is very thoughtful of others and asks nothing in return, which is the true meaning of the Tiger Way. Logan exhibits a growth mindset everyday in class and sets a great example for his peers. He makes sure everyone around him feels like they are part of the learning process in class and have something to contribute to the work we do. Thank you for showing the Tiger Way, and congratulations!

There will be no Paper Airplanes with Mr. Williams in Tiger Time today.

This Friday, December 8th we have our annual Ugly Winter Sweater Day!  Pay $1.00 in the front entrance and all proceeds go towards our Adopt-a-Family fundraiser!  Want your sweater to be considered for the Ugly Sweater contest?  Student Council is hosting the contest in the Media Center Friday morning starting at 7:40am!  Categories are Ugliest Sweater, Most Creative, Most Holiday Spirit, and Best Overall!  It should be a blast, so don't forget to participate by paying $1.00 and heading to the Media Center!

The Peer Helpers 5A class sends out a big Thank You to all those who donated to the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign last week.  We raised $103.28!  That will help provide 8 nights of shelter for a homeless person or provide Christmas for 5 children in need.

Any student interested in being a part of this year's Cabaret Show should attend ONE of the two meetings we are offering this week. Come to the choir room (room 54) on Wednesday, Dec. 6th OR Thursday, Dec. 7th at 3:05 pm for an informational meeting regarding this year's show. The meeting will be finished no later than 3:30 pm. We will be going over important dates for rehearsals and auditions, ways to be involved in the show, and answer any questions you might have! If you are unable to attend either of the two meetings offered, please see Mr. Byersdorfer, Ms. Eilers, or Mr. Lins for the information. Cabaret is a great way to get involved and a great opportunity to showcase all the amazing talent we have here at Peet Junior High. We can't wait to get this year's show rolling!

Today’s lunch will be: Walking Taco, General Tso Chicken with Veggie Egg Roll & Rice, Baked Beans, Mixed Greens Salad, Strawberry Applesauce, and Graham Bug Bite Snack Crackers.

Happy birthday today to: Yonus Bursch, Lauryn Jensen, Austin Nemmers, Logan Vallejo, & Andrew Wikner!
