Today is Monday, October 16th a B Day.
Congratulations to the Junior High Cross Country team on a strong end to the season in spite of all the crazy circumstances at the State Meet! Proud of everything you've accomplished this year!
Congratulations to our Special Olympics bowlers who participated in the Northeast Iowa District tournament at Maple Lanes on Saturday. Bowlers did a great job in their various divisions. From Peet, Jay Minard had a sixth place finish in his group and Travis Redd placed 4th. Adia Mortl and Isaac Purdy placed second in their divisions, Jewell Alley, Joey Elser, Breezy Ryan and Alex Cunningham bowled to 1st place finishes and qualify for the state tournament which will be held in Cedar Rapids in November. Way to go everyone!
9th grade football players, you will be dismissed today at 2:35pm.
Girls in grades 7-8, consider attending the Expanding Your Horizons Conference to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math opportunities. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 11 at UNI and includes many STEM related workshops and an opportunity to view the movie "Dream Big". Cost is $10 and includes lunch. For more information, please see the counseling office.
Starting tonight after school, all students who are not picked up by 3:15pm will be escorted to the cafeteria detention location to wait and watch for your rides. School is dismissed daily at 3:00pm and it is important you are either picked up or in an activity by 3:15pm. Students have many options for after school but one location that is not an option after school is to wait in the front lobby or wander around the building until a ride is available. If you have questions regarding the after school pick-up information, or would like clarification, please ask Mr. Boevers or Mr. Urbanek.
Cedar Falls High School Football play-off t-shirts are now available to purchase from the Cedar Falls High School website. Orders must be placed and paid for by noon on Monday, October 23. The cost of the t-shirt is $10.00 (small-XL) and $2.00 extra for each 2X up to 5XL (ie, $12.00 for 2XL, $14.00 for 3XL). Shirts will not be ordered if not paid for by Monday, Oct 23. Payment of cash, check or credit/debit card can be turned into the Peet Bookkeeping office with Mrs. Hoffman.
Today’s lunch will be: Mini Corn Dogs or Sweet & Sour Chicken with veggie egg roll and rice, sweet potato mini tater puffs, mixed greens salad with ranch, mandarin oranges and a mini rice crispy treat bar
