Academics Peet Junior HighToday is Friday, September 2nd an A Day.
Men's and Women's Choir rehearsals will be starting next week on Tuesday. Men rehearse the first 10 minutes of their lunch shift on Tuesday and Thursday. Women rehearse the first 10 minutes of their lunch shift Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You may come down for these rehearsals even if you are not in choir.
8th and 9th graders, Melodies auditions are next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school. The sign ups for auditions are posted outside the choir room. If none of the after school times work for you, see Ms. Eilers. Please note that even if you are not enrolled 8th grade choir or 9th grade choir, you CAN still audition for Melodies.
Students: tardies will start being counted on Monday. Make sure you have a plan to get to class on time.
The 7th grade football team is looking for 2 or 3 managers. If you are interested, stop in the office and talk to Mr. Urbanek. The team practices every night after school until 4:45.
The Cedar Falls High Tiger cheer clinic for 7th - 9th graders will be Saturday September 10th. You can pick up a flier in the office, or print one on the district website under Fliers.
September bus passes are now on sale at the lunch window. The cost for a two-way bus pass is $44.00 and a one-way bus pass in $22.00. Students that ride the bus and don't have a bus sticker on his or her ID, must purchase a bus pass in order to ride the bus. Bus passes should be purchased by Tuesday, September 6th, as the bus drivers will be checking.
Any 9th grade students interested in joining the FIRST Robotics Competition Team 525 should contact Mr. Swartley through school email or come to a team meeting. The FRC team meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 at 5547 Westminster Dr. New students are welcome at any meeting.
FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics teams, for students in grades 7-12, will begin meeting next week. Students interested in being a member of one of these teams will need to complete an application available online. Applications are due by Friday, September 2.
Student Council applications are now out in the counseling office! If you are interested in being a student leader and working behind the scenes for school dances, student events, elementary tours, as well as visiting our elementary schools...please pick up an application today! Applications are due back by next Thursday, Sept. 8th in the counseling office.
Today’s lunch will be: Shredded Pork Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Glazed Carrots, Relish Plate with Ranch, and Sidekicks Fruit Slushie.
