Traffic+updates North Cedar Elementary

All car traffic will be directed down Green Avenue and then onto Fern.  Buses will remain on the North side of the building.  We are asking that parents park along the West lane (opposite the building) of Fern if they need to/wish to exit their vehicle to pick up their child.  Please call the North Cedar Elementary Office if you have any questions.

Thank You Volunteers

1st Grade students were treated to an extra dose of literacy when volunteers visited their classrooms in November.  Penelope Pilgrim and Mr. Focht shared stories, songs, and activities with students. The students are grateful for the time these volunteers took to enhance their literary experiences.

Maya+and+melia North Cedar Elementary

6th Grade Students Perform at Opus

Maya Potter and Melia Stone were selected to perform with the Opus Honor Choir in Ames, Iowa on November 16, 2017.  Both students enjoyed their experience.  Maya appreciated meeting so many new, different people and Melia felt the opportunity reminded her to be herself, stay positive, and keep trying.  Great job!

First Lego League Competes

North Cedar's First Lego League team competed on Saturday, December 2nd.  They did so well, they are advancing to the state competition in January.  The Lego League contest consists of 4 components.  Students earn points for each component.The Robot Run is where the team runs their robot through a pre-designed course.Robot Design is when the team shows off their robot and its capabilities one on one with the judge.Project Design is when the team creates a project and presents it to the jud [...]
