Parent Volunteers Needed for Mileage Club!

Lincoln is in need of parent volunteers to mark cards at recess during our mileage club program.  Mileage Club is a running/walking program where students earn tokens for every 5 miles they complete around our track.  This program is only for grades 3-6.  Volunteers would be responsible for marking student cards during lunch recess.  If you are interested in helping please contact Mrs. Kowalski (P.E. teacher) at 553-2982 or by email at crystal.kowalski@cfschools.org.

End of Day

The end of a school day can be rather hectic. We ask that you establish change of dismissal plans prior to the school day beginning and send a note with your child for their teacher. If there is a change in the way your child will depart from school after the start of the day we ask that you notify the school prior to 3:15 (1:15 on Wednesdays) so we can make arrangements. If you contact the school after that time we may be unable to honor your request.

We ask that you wait until 3:45 to pick up your child. Coming in shortly before the end of the day disrupts the learning of others. That time can also add up significantly over time and leave gaps in your child’s learning. We realize that there are times that you must get your child early be we would ask that we possible you schedule appointments after 3:45 (1:50 on Wednesdays).

Before and After School Supervision Reminders - Final Notice:

We ask that students not be on the school grounds before 8:30 a.m. There is no supervision on the grounds before this time. At the end of the day, students are to leave the playground after school is dismissed and remain off the playground until 4:15 p.m. We do not have staff members available to supervise the playground during the time teachers are officially on duty. The community is more than welcome to use the playgrounds just like an other park but once the school day ends at 3:45 (1:50 Wednesdays) the school will not be responsible for activities.

This information can be found in the Cedar Falls Community Schools Elementary Handbook along with a lot of other helpful information!

As we head into Fall weather, please have your student(s) dress appropriately for the weather.
