Before and After School Supervision Reminders:

We ask that students not be on the school grounds before 8:30 a.m. There is no supervision on the grounds before this time. As we head into Fall weather, please have your student(s) dress appropriately for the weather. At the end of the day, students are to leave the playground after school is dismissed and remain off the playground until 4:15 p.m. We do not have staff members available to supervise the playground during the time teachers are officially on duty. The community is more than welcome to use the playgrounds just like an other park but once the school day ends at 3:45 (1:50 Wednesdays) the school will not be responsible for activities.

This information can be found in the Cedar Falls Community Schools Elementary Handbook along with a lot of other helpful information!

Students will be coming home Friday with Fundraiser packets. Thank you for helping our students to safely support our school. These dollars are used by PALS (Parents And Lincoln School) to support learning at Lincoln.

Farm To School

Lincoln Elementary 4th and 5th graders learned about tomatoes at today’s Farm to School Program. Not only did they learn about them, they also snacked on them! Be sure to ask your kiddo how they liked their locally grown tomatoes.

Interested in incorporating more local foods into your family’s diet? Plan a family outing to a farmer’s market in the Cedar Valley. Not only is it great for the local economy, but also for the environment! Eat fresh, eat local!

Picture Day - Changes from Lifetouch for Fall 2016!

- Order forms this year there will be a line for tax. In previous years Lifetouch has included the tax in the price of the package. However, since more and more parents are going online to order the IRS says they can no longer do tax inclusive forms. If you choose to go online and place your order the tax will be calculated for you. If you are sending your student with an order form and money please be sure to calculate the tax.

- The online payment site will stay open until the pictures are received at their processing lab. After that the site will shut down. After pictures ship to the school, the site will reopen back up for any reorders or new orders for parents who did not buy before.

- The site is mylifetouch.com. If you have any questions about mylifetouch.com or the tax line on the order form please call 800-529-3039. Please do not call the office as we will direct you to that phone number. Picture day ID is GM456061Q0

New this year:

The outer school doors will remain locked during the school day. There is a buzzer on the pole that you will need to briefly press to notify the office staff that you are needing access. Please remember that staff maybe on the phone and unable to immediately buzz you in. Thank you!
