Student Life Holmes Junior HighAny 9th grader interested in going out for bowling should attend an informational meeting at 7:30 on Thursday Oct. 12th in the media center. If you are interested but can't make the meeting please email Coach Baker at brad.baker@cfschools.org.
9th Grade Know Your Constitution Program participants should come to Mr. Kuker's room during Tiger Time on Tuesday to work on their quiz questions and their essay response. Please see Mr. Kuker with questions.

7th and 8th grade boys If you are interested in joining the Holmes Wrestling team please fill out the Google Form that is posted in schoology. We will have an informational meeting this Thursday morning (10/12) in Mr. Carter's room (49B through library) to provide information to you about the upcoming season. The Holmes Gender and Sexuality Awareness club is having our first meeting this Thursday during Tiger Time in Room #8. Holmes’ GSA is a safe space for LGBTQ students and allies to meet, talk, and advocate for making our school and our community more welcoming and inclusive for all of our students. No sign up is needed, simply check in with your Tiger Time Teacher before coming to the meeting.

HJH Volunteer Club is hosting a book drive event this week. If you have books you'd like to donate, please drop them off by the front office. In particular, we are looking for fantasy, fiction, graphic novels, children's stories, and nonfiction books. Donations will be mailed to help support Chontales Academy in Nicaragua.
Yoga will be on the pool deck during Tiger Time today. Just sign out with your Tiger Time teacher and meet us there.

10/10 PM and 10/11 AM: This week all Holmes students have the same Character Dare: Every day for a week, challenge yourself to meet 1 person you don't know. Find out their name and at least 1 thing about them. By the end of this Character Dare you will have met 5 new people.
