Student Life Holmes Junior HighAny 9th grade girls interested in playing basketball this season should sign up in the front office.
High school football playoffs begin soon. CF is selling State 2017 football playoff tshirts this week. You can go to the High school’s website to place your order. You will need to have your order placed and paid for by noon today
If you are planning on going out for 9th grade boys basketball, a pre-season meeting will be held Thursday directly after school in Coach Rottinghaus' room, #45. The meeting will end at 3:30. If you have any questions or can't make it, please see Coach Rottinghaus.
Holmes Junior High will be participating in the district wide Food Drive. All donated items and money will go to Northeast Iowa Food Bank. The drive will be Tuesday, October 24 - Tuesday, October 31. More information will be provided during your lunch shift today.
Attention students: During tiger time this Wednesday, we will have someone from John Deere talking about mechanical engineering. If you are interested in attending, sign up on the google form posted by Mrs. Johnson. She will sign you up and you will report to room 47 on Wednesday.
Congratulations to the Holmes students who auditioned at the Iowa High School Music Association All State auditions this past week. The amount of growth shown from the students throughout the preparation process shows an immense amount of dedication and hard work. Students selected for All-State were: Eli Smith, tenor; Antoine Cuhat, clarinet; Myra Stineman, french horn-1st alternate; and Emma Sliwiniski, violin-3rd alternate.
