Band Students: Today is Day Six for band lessons

Congratulations to the Boy's Cross Country team for their team victory at New Hampton last week against a strong challenge from many teams. Congratulations to Brayden Burnett on his first place finish. For many runners that was the end of a very challenging and successful season! Go Tigers.

Reminder that Wednesday, Oct. 11 is the 7th annual Fields of Faith event at Cedar Falls High School. Come join hundreds of Cedar Falls & UNI students on the Cedar Falls football field at 7:00 p.m. Holmes students Drew Hoth, Clayton Peterson, & Eli Mickey will be speaking along with AJ Green and other UNI students! Bring a blanket and meet us on the football field!

8th Grade Volleyball End of Season party will be Thursday at 3:10 in Ms. Grell’s room.

Any 9th grader that missed the bowling meeting today, there are information sheets in the office.

There will be a meeting for any 7th or 8th grader who is interested in wrestling Thursday October 12th at 7:45 in the New Gym. There is a sign up sheet in the office. Coach Peters is also looking for a couple student managers for the wrestling team. Email or see coach Peters for questions.

9th grade football will be practicing until 4:30- we will start in the new gym so bring athletic shoes and we will finish outside with cleats.

Fall sports are wrapping up, and students interested in Math Club are encouraged to come check it out on Tuesdays after school beginning as soon as your fall sport is over. No need to sign up; just show up in Mrs. Hudson's room (#42) on the first Tuesday after your sport ends. Math Club is open to students in all grades, 7/8/9. Treats will be provided, and we'll have fun with problem solving. Join us!

Any 8th grade girl interested in going out for basketball this year, there is a sign up sheet in the office. There will also be a players meeting on Friday oct 13th at 7:40 am in the new gym. See coach moeller if you can not attend.

For any 7th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball this year, there is a sign-up in the girls locker room. Please see Ms. Bauer with any questions!
