After a slow start in the first game, the Holmes Tiger 7th grade football team rolled to a 30-8 triumph over the Hoover Hawks last night in the Tigers' final home game of the season. Falling behind 8-0, Holmes used solid running behind Christian Barney and Miles Mounce and a stellar offensive line to build a 22-8 halftime edge. The defense came to play in the second half, shutting out Hoover and sealing the victory. The second game of the night saw much the same, as the Tigers won the game, 18-8. Holmes finishes its season with two road games with the first being next Tuesday at Central. Go Tigers!

Tomorrow the Cross Country team will be competing against our Metro rivals at Bontrager Park in Waterloo. Come out to support your Tigers! The Boy's team is looking to make it three straight first place finishes after winning our last two meets. Special congratulations to Brayden Burnett for placing first at the Rich Engel and at Independence just this last weekend.

Great team win last night for the 9th grade football team against Cedar Rapid Washington 40-30. Everyone on the team stepped up and made big plays contributing to the win. Reminder please meet in Mr. Becker's room after school!
