Reminder to Seniors with last names L-Z. Today during Power Hour A shift in the auditorium your attendance is required for a short presentation about your senior year from your school counselors and to be measured for cap and gown. Please plan to attend and please be prompt. You will have time for lunch B shift.
You've always wanted to be famous - well now's your chance. Next Wednesday, September 14th, we will be celebrating Arts in Education week by dressing up as your favorite artist, artwork or art supply. Come to school dressed as a crayon, VanGogh or a masterpiece of art! There will be a costume contest (with prizes) sponsored by the Art Club during Power Hour in the Art Department. We invite all students and faculty to get your creative on and celebrate National Arts in Education Week with us!
For all 9-12 graders who are interested in playing Men’s Tennis during the 2017 season, there will be a meeting after school at 3:10 PM, in Room 106 at the High School on Wednesday, September 14. Please be at the meeting so that we can discuss the upcoming season's schedule, team uniform pullovers, discuss opportunities for practice this winter, and preparation for the coming season.
Juniors and Seniors: Sign up for the College Fair at UNI! The link to sign up is on the CF Counseling website. It is Tuesday, Sept. 13th from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Seniors can drive themselves to the McLeod Center, but still need to sign up. Juniors must ride the bus. The College Fair includes representation of over 80 colleges and universities from around the Midwest, so it is HIGHLY encouraged to attend! There will be a lot of great information, so come prepared to take notes and ask questions.

Join us for our 3rd annual DO BETTER. BE BETTER. 5K Run/Walk Color Dash on Saturday, September 17th at 8:30am at Pfeiffer Park in Cedar Falls. Money raised through this 5K will go towards a scholarship for one of our very own CFHS 2017 seniors. You can also earn 3 PE make-ups by participating. Please pick up your registration packet in the counseling office to register or register online with getmeregistered.com.
Any students interested in joining the FIRST Robotics Competition Team 525 should contact Mr. Swartley through school email or come to a team meeting. The FRC team meets at 7:00 on Tuesday evenings at 5547 Westminster Dr. New students are welcome at any meeting during the fall.
The CF Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold a Kickball Kick-Off Event this Sunday, Sept 11thfrom 6-7:30pm at the Townsend's home (2403 West Ridgeway Ave). The event will include games, food, and news about FCA at the high school this year. All students are welcome to attend.
